Transformers Dark of the Moon, or also known as Transformers 3, finally appeared on the silver screen - after much anticipation from the robotic fans.
I don't think I have to go through the plot and what happened to both the Autobot and Deception, because everyone will eventually watch it due to its huge fan base.
After watching the movie (without 3D of course), I have one word for Transformers 3 - Disappointment.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's Carly character isn't a good replacement for Megan Fox. She is too stiff and expressionless. She lacks of the power-figure that was possessed by Mikaela. It seems that Mikaela dumped Sam - we don't know why though.
Patrick Dempsey played a role in the movie as well, as Dylan. Famously known as Prince Charming in most of his movies, but he's a villain this time. Formed a deal with his biggest client, the Decepticons, and helped them in every way to conquer Earth. Weird guy huh - sacrifice Earth for some metals? Nevertheless, he has cool cars and classy lifestyle.
Sam and Carly don't make a good match. Carly is way taller than him. She's way too elegant for hardcore dirty robot-loving Sam. Obviously the movie tried to feature sexiness of Rosie, but she doesn't live up to the expectations once filled by Megan Fox. Rosie has small boobies, that explains why.
Newcomer (or the old one?) Sentinel Prime brings a new dimension to the movie. Initially thought that he would be the savior of the Autobots but it turned out that he had a deal with Megatron on bringing Cybertron to Earth. Almost won the battle with the assistance of hundreds of Decepticon beasts, but still lose in the end.
Another newcomer Shockwave made an instant impact with his worm-drilling accompaniment. Massive damages were caused by the both of them - destroying buildings and almost everything in their way. But the worm pathetically died after being chopped by tiny (when compared) Optimus Prime. And Shockwave was also pathetically destroyed by a bunch of humans. Yeah, damn.
There were a lot of battle scenes and fighting between the robots. Even the human soldiers bravely fought with the humongous robots. It's funny how a tiny bunch of Autobots and an even tinier (pun intended) bunch of humans managed to defeat a plethora of monstrous Decepticons. Weaklings, no wonder Autobots always win.
Other than that, the Computer Generated Imagery (CGI) was applause-able. Good work with the realization of the robots, although sometimes I wonder how does an ordinary vehicle can transform into a robot that is relatively so much taller than it should be.
Ending is predictable. The only 2 unpredictable scenes were Sentinel Prime turning his back on the Autobots, and Dylan being someone who helps the Deceptions. Storyline is almost the same as the previous 2 installments. It has always been a battle between the good and evil. As usual, the evil Decepticons almost grabbed their victory but somehow (with dubious luck) the good Autobots triumphed.
Noobie Rating: 6/10 (Whatever the rating is, you'll sure watch it anyway)
