One word summarizes the movie: SUPERB!

Together with Lieutenant Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sets to wipe out crime organizations in Gotham City. But soon, Joker the criminal master appears. He forces Gotham into chaos and Batman faces more troubles being Gotham's hero.

All the casts were great! Batman (Christian Bale), also known as Bruce Wayne, was great. He was very heroic throughout the movie, although a few misjudgments.

Joker (Heath Ledger) was simply marvelous. He wasn't as silly and crazy as a normal joker should be, but he was seriously and mean villain.

Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) was a distinguished District Attorney of Gotham City but I never thought he would be Two Face. Rachel Dawes (Maggie Gyllenhaal) fits the character. At first sight, I thought she was Kirsten Dunst. They look almost alike, don't they?

Not forgetting Bruce Wayne's loyal butler, Alfred Pennyworth (Michael Caine).

The other characters were pieces and bits that made the movie a success. Overall, the movie was marvelous.

The production was so grand that it has numerous posters for the movie.

Reminder: If you haven't watched The Dark Knight and you don't want to spoil your the The Dark Knight movie outing, read no further. Feel free to read the other posts.

Right in the beginning, the Joker was the mastermind of a bank robbery. He tricked his accomplices into killing each other, killed the last one and took off with the money. Day by day Gotham City became more chaotic as Joker went on a killing spree. All he demanded was Batman to surrender by revealing his identity.

Before Bruce can expose his secret, Harvey announces that he himself is the Batman. It was just a plan to lure Joker out in order to capture him, and it worked. While Harvey was being transported by the police convoy, Joker ambushed. Fortunately, Batman and Gordon managed to stop the Joker and arrested him.

During an interrogation at the police station, Joker revealed that Harvey and Rachel were captured and placed at two different places. Both places were surrounded by explosives and Batman can only save one. Obviously, Batman left to save Rachel because he likes her.

But Joker reversed the address, causing Batman to rush to Harvey's location while the policemen, led by Gordon, headed to Rachel's location. After Batman and the policemen left, Joker managed to escape. Batman was in time to save Harvey but Rachel died as the policemen weren't quick enough. Harvey survived but the left side of his face was burned by the explosion. Feeling so angry over the loss of Rachel, the latest villain, Harvey Two Face, resorted to aggression and vengeance.

Later on, Joker tried to explode two ferries but his plan failed as Batman stopped and trapped him. Joker was then apprehended by the SWAT team. After that, Batman went to another location and stopped Two Face from killing Gordon and his family. Two Face died after he fell off the building.

And that's the end of the 2 hours and 30 minutes action-packed movie.

There were so many exciting and thrilling parts until I don't know which one was the real climax. When I thought it was ending, an unexpected plot emerged. Throughout the movie, it was never boring. Every corner of the movie was spectacular.

Described as a steamroller combined with a motorbike and atomic missile, the Bat Bike was so cool.

For your information, Christian Bale was actually banned from riding a hi-tech motorbike on the movie because it was deemed too dangerous. The Dark Knight star claims the film bosses ordered a stunt man to take his place in case the actor falls off and injures himself. They needed him in one piece to finish the movie. In fact, the machine was so hard to handle that only one stunt man on the set could ride it without falling off.

Even though Bale didn't get to ride the bike on screen, he really wanna have a go at it. He also mentioned "You can't be Batman and not have been on the bloody Bat bike!"

Harvey's left face after the burn was excellent. Although it was rather disgusting, it served the purpose.

Noobie Rating: 8/10 (Watch it!)
