Basically it can be watched without re-watching the previous editions of Shrek.
Another thing about this sequel (if you like emotional scenes) is that it’s touching. So touching that I would’ve cried like a big baby if I were to watch it alone at home!
The moral of the story: Appreciate the people in your life before it’s too late.
