After that, has only one mission in life - to avenge the murder of his older brother who was killed when they were double-crossed after the heist.
Now a free man with a list of names and addresses, there is nothing that can stop him from killing all of them. However, two people are in the hunt to stop him - first, a veteran cop (Billy Bob Thornton) who is only days from retiring.
And second, a young hit man (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) who has no relations whatsoever with Driver.
Know what, scenes of Killer's girlfriend, Lily (Maggie Grace) wearing her sexy black lingerie are way over the top compared to the whole movie.
Just look at her. Sexy to the max! Audiences must have wished for more of such scenes.
But on the other hand, she portrays her true side as well - a great marksmen! Actually, it's not clear on what she does - all we know is that she's hot and she is Killer's girlfriend who wants him to stop assassinating for clients.
Overall, the movie was nothing but chasing and shooting. Driver kills the people who were involved in the double-crossed betrayal, and at the same time he's being chased by the cops and a hit man.
Scenes flashing back and forward throughout the movie helps the audience to understand the story line better, and why Driver was greatly insisting on killing the people on his list. If it wasn't because of his older brother's murder, he wouldn't have been so aggressive.
One by one, Driver managed to kill - but he let go one of them, the one who has repented from his wrongdoings and sins from the past.
Eventually, the culprit of Driver and his brother's betrayal is none other than the veteran cop himself. His wife was an informant, which was also the "girlfriend" of Driver's brother back then. Which explains why the greedy veteran cop ambushed them, stole the money away and causing the death of Driver's brother.
In the end, Killer discovered that he was hired by the veteran cop and ends up getting paid only for a dollar even though he didn't kill Driver. However, Driver once again "reincarnated" from his supposedly death and finally killed the cop at last.
The plot is predictable, great act by Dwayne Johnson - the character really suits him. Billy Bob Thornton's character makes the story line more interesting and mysterious while Oliver Jackson-Cohen's role was nothing much but an additional character. Maggie Grace's character is definitely the best!
